Ten members of a family were killed and seven others injured in a road accident near Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh this morning. The members of a family were returning to Bhilai from Dongargarh after having the visiting Devi Bamleshvari.
The vehicle was hit by a truck near Somni village on the National Highway 53. The intensity of the collision was so severe that nine persons were killed on the spot.
The official of District administration rushed to the spot and admitted injured persons to the District Government Hospital at Rajnandgaon.
Chief Minister Raman Singh has expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
