At least 11 persons were killed and 30 injured in a road accident near Pragnapur in Siddhipet district last evening. The accident occurred when four vehicles collided with each other leading to instant death of 10 persons. The deceased included four women. The condition of 7 injured persons is reported to be critical.
The Telangana government has announced an ex gratia of five lakh rupees each to the kin of the deceased in a road accident.
State Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao announced this after meeting the injured who are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Out of 30 injured, the condition of four is still critical and altogether 14 persons who sustained serious injuries were shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment.
