Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha has said, delay of rail traffic in different sections would be resolved soon after completion of ongoing track maintenance and renovation works.
Addressing a function organised at Gorakhpur Junction in Uttar Pradesh today, Mr. Sinha said, safety and security of passengers is paramount for railways and it would be never compromised.
He said, off late delay in running of trains is temporary in nature and the inconvenience caused is due to utmost precautions maintained during track maintenance and renovation works.
Mr. Sinha said, under the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government, railways is going through transformation phase as more funds are being provided and projects which had been put on back burner are being completed in time bound manner.
Mr. Sinha inaugurated and dedicated different rail projects of passenger amenities at Gorakhpur Junction this evening.
He also flagged off Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Delhi terminus Humsafar Express, which will now run on daily basis instead of three days in week as per its earlier schedule.
