The Prime Minister called for water conservation to deal with water crisis. He said efforts must be made to save every drop of water. Prime Minister inaugurated the first phase of Mission Bhagirath programme, a flagship programme to supply drinking water to each household in Gajwel Assembly constituency in Telengana.

Earlier, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekara Rao said the government at the centre under the leadership of Narendra Modi remained corruption- free even after two years in office. He appealed to the Prime Minister to sanction a National Irrigation Project, an IIM and and IT inveztment Region (ITIR) to the new state.

Prime Minister also laid foundation stone, through remote control to the 1600 MW power plant being set up by the NTPC at Ramagundam in Karimnagar district and new railway line between Manoharabad – Kottapalli. He unveiled foundation stone to revive Ramagundam Fertilizers Plant and Kaloji Narayana RAO Health university at Warangal. He also dedicated the 1200 MW thermal power plant to the nation.

Union Information Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Power Minister Piyush Goel Fertilizer Minister Anantha Kumar, and Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu were also present on the occasion.

Later, addressing BJP workers in Hyderabad the Prime Minister said that attacks on Dalits must stop. Mr Modi also called for putting an end to divisive politics.
