Fifty seven 57 Muslim candidates from different parties have been elected to West Bengal Assembly result of which was declared on May 19.
Of them, 29 candidates have been elected on the Trinamool Congress ticket, 18 on the Congress tickets, 08 have been elected on Communist Party of India (Marxist) ticket. One Muslim has been elected on All India Forward Bloc ticket and one from AIUDF.
In the last Assembly polls 59 Muslims were elected from different parties.
