A mild earthquake, measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale, jolted central Nepal today. No damage was reported. The National Seismological Centre said, the epicentre of the quake was located at Sindhupalchowk district, 45 kms east of Kathmandu. The quake was also felt in Kathmandu valley.

More than 400 aftershocks of 4 or more magnitude have been recorded in Nepal after the devastating April 25th earthquake of that killed nearly 9,000 people. Meanwhile, humanitarian agencies have expressed concern that they were unable to deliver aid to earthquake victims, mainly in the Himalayan region, due to the blockade of Nepal-India border for the last 50 days.
