A large number of IAS and IPS officers have been transferred ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in Bihar. The state government has transferred 49 IAs officers including 27 DMs.
Patna District magistrate has been transferred. 44 IPS including 14 SPs of different districts have also been transferred.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said, it is a routine transfer. However, Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar modi has alleged that this transfer has been made in view of assembly elections. According to sources the election commission has asked the state government to remove three DMs and one SP.
An Election Commission team, led by Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi, will visit Bihar on 7th and 8th of this month to assess ground situation and to discuss poll preparations with state government officials.
