Nagaland reported 44 cases of COVID-19 positive today, taking the total caseload in the State to 11,159. Health and Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom informed in a tweet that 27 cases were detected from Dimapur, 16 from Kohima and one from Tuensang.

The reported cases were segregated among 29 traced contacts, 10 Armed Forces or Security Personnel, three returnees or travelers and two frontline workers. Besides, 174 patients have also recovered which comprised 140 recovered persons from Dimapur, 30 from Kohima, three from Tuensang and one from Phek.

Currently, the State has 1,087 active Corona cases. While, total recovered persons in the State stood at 9,898. Out of the total 67 registered deaths in the State, 57 deaths are due to the infection, seven deaths are not related to COVID-19 and three deaths are under investigation. So far, 107 cases have migrated to other States.
