At least four civilians including a minor boy and a woman were killed while at least 17 persons including five BSF personnel were injured today, as Pakistan forces continued heavy shelling along the International Border in Jammu for the third consecutive day, says official sources.
Pakistan Ranger’s heavy mortar shelling is presently going on in R.S.Pura, Arnia, Ramgarh, Samba and Hiranagar sectors of Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts.
The BSF has also been retaliating the shelling very effectively inflicting heavy damages on Pakistan forces across the border.
According to AIR, a woman and an eight year boy were killed while 10 others including five BSF men were injured in shelling in Samba sector, two civilians lost their lives while six others injured as mortars landed the houses in Hiranagar and R.S. Pura sectors this morning.
People from the shelling affected areas are being evacuated to safer places. Most of the people from the affected border areas have moved to the residences of their relatives and relief camps set up by the administration. Pakistan’s Rangers have been simultaneously targeting civilian population and forward posts of the BSF.
So far, 10 persons including two BSF Jawans have lost their lives while over sixty others have been injured in the Pakistan’s shelling and firing along the International Border in Jammu region since 15th of this month.
