Three police personnel were killed in two separate incidents after suspected militants attacked police personnel in summer capital Srinagar today. In first attack in the morning hours, unidentified militants attacked police patrol in old Srinagar city leading to on spot death of two police personnel.
The second attack came around noon time killing one Personal security Officer (PSO) near Tengpora Batmaloo in Srinagar uptown.
Militant outfit Hizul Mujahideen claimed responsibility of twin attacks in Srinagar today. Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today said the attacks on policemen in the city was a worrying development.
