With one more person was killed by the mob Friday night, the death toll goes up to three in agitation called over the Jat quota issue in Haryana. Mob also set ablaze a shopping mall during the night despite curfew. Army could not reach Friday night as all roads were blocked. But, now the troops have started landing through Helicopters and being deployed.

The protesters have also stopped water supply from Haryana to Delhi. The schools and colleges have been closed till Monday. Army has been called in nine districts of the state to control the situation. Internet and mobile service has been also been blocked.

Haryana DGP said arrangements have been made to deal with any untoward incidents.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal has said that he is ready for talks with agitators. The State government may bring a bill for the Jat Aarakshan in the coming Assembly Session.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has appealed the people to maintain peace and order in the State.

Yesterday the office and house of the Rohtak range IG of Police were also attacked, and several vehicles were set on fire at the local Circuit House. In the firing about 8 persons were injured who have been admitted in the hospital.

Director General Police of Haryana, Mr. Yashpal Shinghal has said in Chandigarh that army has been summoned in 8 districts of the state including Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonepat, Hissar.

Trains and bus services remained suspended in many parts of the state today as agitators are sitting on the tracks. Internet andmobile SMS services were suspended in six districts by the authorities to prevent spread of sensitive messages.

Agitation has spread to new areas today including Sirsa, Ambala. Agitators also blocked main railway track to Delhi in Sonepat district.

Meanwhile, Punjab and Haryana High Court today issued notice to the state of Haryana on a public interest petition complaining of the inconvenience caused to the general public due to rail and road blocks.

The petition filed today was heard the same day .The petition alleged inaction on the part of the government in dealing with the situation. Curfew was imposed tonight in Rohtak and Bhiwani city limit areas and army was being rushed there in view of worsening situation.

According to officials reports curfew has been imposed with immediate effect and army units are being rushed to Rohtak from nearby Cantonment at Hissar, for immediate deployment in Rohtak and Bhiwani areas.

He said army units are also being rushed from Jaipur for deployment in other worst-affected areas of the state.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh has appealed to the people of Haryana to maintain peace and order in the State. In a tweet, Mr Singh said that the incident of violence in certain parts of Haryana is very unfortunate.

He said, in a democracy, a solution to any problem lies in discussion and dialogue.Mr Singh conveyed his condolence to the family of the individual who got killed in Haryana violence today.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed the people of Haryana to maintain peace. In a tweet, Mr. Kejriwal, however, accused ruling BJP of playing caste politics in the state by dividing Haryana on caste lines.
