A total number of 2,12,822 pilgrims performed ‘darshan’ in Amarnath cave in Jammu and Kashmir since 48 day long yatra started on July 2.
On the 29th day of pilgrimage yesterday, 1,115 pilgrims paid obeisance. On Saturday, a pilgrim died at Pissu top. With this, total 21 pilgrims have died during the ongoing yatra.
Meanwhile, 311 pilgrims left for two base camps of Nunwan-Pahalgam and Baltal on Saturday from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas Jammu which is the smallest batch of pilgrims since the first batch left the Yatri Niwas on July 1.
The cave is situated at an altitude of 13000 feet in deep Himalayas in South Kashmir’s district of Anantnag.
