Kerala police have arrested 20 suspects in the preliminary combing operation conducted following the fireworks tragedy at Kollam’s Paravur Puttingal temple. The devastating fire that engulfed the Temple complex during an unauthorised display of fireworks late night on Saturday, left 110 dead and 383 people injured.
Two more people today succumbed to their injuries at the Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram. The state government has already ordered a judicial probe into the tragic incident that shocked the entire nation.
An official release said, the government medical teams would visit all hospitals to assess the situation where the 383 injured have been admitted. Of them, the condition of 60 people is reported to be critical. The Armed forces, various institutions and prominent personalities have joined relief operations on a massive scale.
