Two militants were killed in ongoing encounter triggered early this evening in south Kashmir’s Shopian district in Jammu & Kashmir.
Defence spokesman said that on a tip off, Army and Special Operations Group of State Police launched joint operation in Manzimpora village. The militants holed up in a residential area fired upon the search party.
In the ensuing encounter two heavily armed Hizbul Mujahideen militants Irshad Sheikh and Adil Khandey were killed. A large quantity of arms, ammunition has been recovered from the slain militants.
