Two coaches of New Delhi-Vishakhapatnam Express train caught fire near Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. All passengers were reported to be safe. The cause of the blaze is not known yet. An inquiry has been ordered into the accident.
Railway Ministry spokesperson Ved Prakash said that the fire was detected in the B-6 coach around 11.50 a.m.
Later, it spread to the B-7 coach, Following the incident, the guard stopped the train and shifted the passengers of these coaches to other coaches. The train then reached Gwalior.
