Indian Davis Cupper Yuki Bhambri has advanced to the singles quarterfinals of the 75,000 US Dollar ATP Challenger event, at Taipei. Unseeded Yuki tamed eighth seeded local player Jimmy Wang in straight sets 6-3 6-1 in the second round of the Indoor tournament.

Yuki, ranked 216, dominated the 64-minute contest over his rival who is ranked 132 on ATP charts. Yuki next faces Japanese third seed Go Soeda, an experienced campaigner ranked 87 in the world. The 22-year old Yuki has also reached the doubles quarterfinals with compatriot Saketh Myneni. They are up now against second seeded Thai pair of Sanchai and Snonchat Ratiwatana.
