In the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup, England beat Scotland by 10 wickets in a Group-B match at Sharjah this evening. Chasing 110 runs for a victory, England made 113 with 10 overs to spare.  Both the openers Maia Bouchier on 62 and Danielle Wyatt-Hodge 51 remained not out. Earlier, opting to bat first, Scotland made 109 runs losing six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

In a Group-A match, India will clash with Australia at Sharjah at 7.30 p.m.

As the group stages of the tournament enter fag end, Indian fans will be keeping keen eye on today’s match. Having already lost to New Zealand, India cannot afford another loss against Australia today. In case of a defeat for India, the net run-rate could have the final for the semifinal way.

In Group A, New Zealand are in a race with India for the second semi-final spot. Both teams have four points each. Although New Zealand trail India on the basis of net run-rate.

In Group B, England is dominating the points table with 6 points. Though South Africa also have six points, occupies second position due to less run rate in comparison to England. West Indies stands in third position with four points.

In Men’s Cricket, the first T20 International between Sri Lanka and the West Indies will also be played at Dambulla today.  The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
