Lok Sabha Speaker Mr Om Birla on Sunday took another big initiative to provide relief to the Corona affected families. On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, several women, who lost their husbands and daughters who lost their parents to Covid 19, tied Rakhi to Lok Sabha Speaker Mr Om Birla on Sunday. After tying the sacred thread of affection and protection, Mr Birla said that as a brother and a guardian, he would always help these women and daughters.

More than 30 women and girls tied Rakhi to Mr Birla at his Lok Sabha Camp Office at Kota- Bundi. During this, while the eyes of these women were moist due to their sorrow, they were also happy that they found a brother in Lok Sabha Speaker Mr Birla who would now wipe their tears and stand by them in every trouble.

Mr Birla discussed with the women and girls anout their problems and assured them of solutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Birla said that the impact of the second wave of Corona may have subsided now, but the wounds it has caused are yet to be healed, the pain it has inflicted would continue to haunt many families for years. Efforts will be made to lessen the sufferings of these families, assured Shri Birla.

Mr Birla informed that to make these families self-reliant by making them stand on their feet, an action plan is being prepared, in consultation with all sections of the society. Like a brother and guardian, he would always stand with these families, said Shri Birla. By giving noble values ​​and education to the children of these families, we would try to make these children promising citizens, said Mr Birla. Their pain and suffering would be lessened to the maximum possible extent, he assured.


Widow Madhubala also tied rakhi

Widow Madhubala Meena, wife of Pulwama martyr Hemraj Meena, also tied Rakhi to the Lok Sabha Speaker on Sunday. Tying Rakhi, she wished long life to Mr Birla. Both the daughters of martyr Hemraj were also present.

Smita Jain, a resident of Anand Vihar, Bundi Road, while tying a rakhi to Mr Birla, told him that about three years ago, she had purchased her dream home after taking a loan. After the death of her husband due to Covid, it seems everything has come to an end for her. Due to non-payment of EMI, the bank is giving notice. Mr Birla listened to her and assured that he would take up the issue with the bank officials.
Soumya Sapnani, who lost her parents within two days due to Corona, also tied rakhi to Mr Birla. Soumya now lives with her Aunt Simran in Bajrang Nagar and studies at Sophia School in Bhimganjmandi. Due to poor financial condition, her aunt is unable to pay her school fees. Mr Birla blessed Saumya and assured her that he would take care of her school fees for entire period of her study.

After the death of Keshavpura resident Reena Mandal from Corona, now there is no earning member in the family. Her daughter , Pooja, used to work in Jaipur earlier, but she also left the job. Reena, while tying rakhi to Mr Birla, requested him to arrange a job for Pooja. The Speaker assured that in a few days some arrangement would be made for her.
