The Winter Session of Parliament will commence from 26th of this month. Sources said, the session will continue till 23rd of December.
The decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs Monday afternoon.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Venkaiah Naidu said, on the first two days of the session, separate special sittings of both the Houses will be held to discuss commitment to the Constitution as part of 125th birth anniversary celebration of Dr B R Ambedkar.
November 26 will be observed as Constitution Day to commemorate the acceptance of draft Constitution by the constituent assembly. There will be no question and zero hours on these two days.
Mr Naidu urged the opposition parties to cooperate in passage of key pending legislations including Goods and Service Tax and Real Estate regulation. About 30 bills will be taken up for consideration and passing during the nearly a month long session.
