The World Health Organisation, WHO, has issued a warning over the probable spike in dengue fever cases in Afghanistan recently. The organisation stated that its medical staff is equipped to control the illness, also referred to as the bone-breaking fever, across the nation, which is already experiencing a humanitarian crisis.
The number of dengue cases may rise as the rainy season approaches. Meanwhile, there were 12 groups of 65 female health professionals participating in the three-day programme on handling dengue patients. The group also urged Afghans to adopt the necessary safety measures to protect their families from mosquito bites and stop dengue.
