In West Bengal, police have arrested 13 people so far in connection with a cyber fraud related to a government scheme.

A total of 120 cases have been registered, and 1,911 people have been affected by the fraud. The police are investigating a scheme called Tarun er Swapno, in which ten thousand rupees are given to state board-affiliated school students in classes XI and XII to purchase tablets. According to reports, instead of being credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts, the funds are being deposited into other accounts.
