Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted bail to mining baron Sudhir Sharma in connection with Vyapam scam. He got bail on Wednesday in cases related to rigging of contractual teacher grade II, police constable and platoon commander recruitment tests.
Sharma is accused of acting as a middleman and helping at least 12 persons clear these tests.
The court granted him bail after his lawyer pointed out that other accused in the case were already out on bail and the prosecuting agency had filed the charge sheet after completing the investigation.
The High Court had, earlier, granted him bail in another Vyapam-related case.
The Special Task Force of Madhya Pradesh police, which was probing the scam, had arrested Sharma in four cases in July 2014.
CBI is now probing Vyapam cases following Supreme Court’s order.
