Voting for all 186 Panchayat Polls in Goa ended peacefully. Fate of 1464 Panchayat members is sealed. Counting will take place on 12 August.
Voting took place peacefully. In all 5038 candidates are in fray. 64 candidates have been elected unopposed.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant voted at Pale Kothambi. According to preliminary report, voting percentage was around 70 per cent. Relatives of some political leaders are also in fray.
Campaigning was focused on door-to-door visits. There were 1566 booths in this poll. Voting was held through ballot papers.
