Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu has said that the rebuilding of Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya symbolises India’s cultural renaissance and our renewed commitment to the principles of Ram Rajya which ensures peace, justice and equality for all.
After a visit to Ayodhya and Darshan of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi today, the Vice President wrote in his Facebook post that the construction of temple will also herald a new phase in the economy and development of the ancient city of Ayodhya and nearby areas. He said, spiritual tourism is a major employment generator in India and Ayodhya, one of the most ancient cities in the world, is fast emerging as a preferred destination for national as well as international devotees.
In his message, Mr Naidu said, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying the foundation stone on 5th of August 2020, the reconstruction work of the temple is proceeding apace at Ram Janma Bhoomi site. The Garbha Griha is being designed in such a way that sun rays will fall on the forehead of Ram Lalla on every Ram Navami – the birthday of Lord Shri Rama. He said that the 70-acre campus of Ram temple will also house many facilities including a Facilitation Centre for Devotees, Museum, Research Centre, Gaushala and Yoga Centre. Four smaller temples have also been visualised on the four corners of the rectangular boundary wall.
Mr Naidu also performed Pooja along with his wife at the bank of Holi Saryu river. He wrote about his experience in his message that he felt so blessed to walk on the historic and sacred path. The riverfront has been created most aesthetically with a remarkable devotional ambience. He also paid obeisance at the famous Hanumangadi temple of Ayodhya.
Vice President reached Ayodhya in the Special Presidential Train. After performing Pooja at Ram Janmabhoomi, Vice President saw the construction work of the grand Ram temple. After Darshan, Vice President reached Varanasi in the same train this evening. He later took part in the Ganga Aarti in the evening.
