“Anna Hazare is not alone in his fight for a strong Lokpal and people from across the country should support him. A strong Lokpal should be there,” VHP president Ashok Singhal told media persons in Mumbai.
Meanwhile the Delhi Police have asked social activist Anna Hazare and his team to give a definite timeframe for their agitation on Jantar Mantar or choose a venue on the outskirts of the capital for any indefinite dharna.
Ann team has planned an indefinite dharna from augusta 16 against the current form of Lokpal Bill.
The Delhi Police has said they could not give permission for indefinite dharna anywhere in Delhi, including at Jantar Mantar as Parliament will be in session from August 1.
Police authorities said a single group could not be allowed to capture the entire space at Jantar Mantar as many groups conduct protests during Parliament Session.
Authorities have imposed prohibitory orders in and around Parliament House in view of the Monsoon Session.
The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved the draft of the anti-corruption Lokpal Bill that is to be tabled in Parliament during the upcoming monsoon session.
The Prime Minister and the judiciary have been excluded from the ambit of the Lokpal Bill.
