Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has signed a resolution to block access to the social media platform X in the country for 10 days. The announcement comes after President Maduro and platform’s owner, Elon Musk exchanged accusations over Venezuela’s disputed presidential election held on 28th of last month. Venezuelan President accused the Mr Musk, of using the social network to promote hatred after the country’s disputed Presidential election. Mr. Maduro also accused the social network of being used by his opponents to create political unrest.

Electoral authorities declared Maduro the winner of a presidential election but have yet to produce voting tallies. Mr. Musk has commented critically several times about Venezuela’s recent contentious elections.
