Former Gujarat Chief Minister Shanker Sinh Vaghela has been appointed as the new state president of Nationalist Congress Party, NCP, in the state.
Earlier, 78-year-old Mr. Vaghela had been inducted in the party as its national general secretary.
NCP president Sharad Pawar issued a letter to Mr. Vaghela in this regard. Mr. Vaghela would replace Mr. Jayant Patel Boski who has now been elevated as the national general secretary of the party.
