Polling for all the five Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand began at 7 this morning. Polling is in progress in the 11 thousand 235 polling stations across the State to decide the political fate of 52 candidates.

Union Minister of State and BJP leader Ajay Tamta and Congress General Secretary Harish Rawat are among the prominent candidates. As per reports in early hours about 5 percent votes were cast.

Long queues of voters have been seen at some polling stations in Haridwar, Dehradun and Udhamsingh Nagar districts. Polling is going on smoothly across the State.
