Met department has issued a warning of heavy snowfall at isolated places of the upper reaches of the Uttarakhand during next 12 hours.
Severe cold is being experienced following snowfall in upper reaches of Garhwal and Kumaon regions. Intermittent snowfall is still continuing in Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. According to the Met department sky will remain overcast for the next five days in the State.
During this period Kumaon region will receive rain and snowfall at isolated places, Whereas, Haridwar and Udhamsingh Nagar will experience fog and mist.
Met department has issued the warning of heavy snowfall at isolated places of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts during next 12 hours.
Hail is also likely to occur at isolated places of Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital, Chamoli, Champawat and Udhamsingh Nagar districts.
