Political activities have gained momentum in Uttarakhand, after the centre agreed to the Supreme Court’s suggestion for a floor test in the state assembly under apex court’s supervision. The President’s rule will temporarily be lifted on Tuesday and Chief Minister Harish Rawat of Congress will seek the confidence vote in the House.
The BJP and the Congress have issued whips to their legislators to vote on the party lines during the trust vote in the state assembly on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Uttarakhand High Court today reserved its judgement on the disqualification of rebel Congress MLAs, till the coming Monday.
After hearing the pleas of both the sides, Justice U.C.Dhyani, heading the single bench of the court, said that the hearing in the matter has been completed and he would pronounce the verdict in the morning on 9th May.
