In Uttarakhand, candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress Party formally submitted their nominations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

In a show of strength, BJP candidate Malarajya Laxmishah filed her nomination for the Tehri parliamentary constituency in Dehradun. Laxmishah also led a vibrant roadshow in the presence of BJP leader and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other party workers at Dehradun before filing her nomination.

Meanwhile, Congress candidate Jot Singh Gunsola also filed his nomination for the Tehri Lok Sabha seat.

In Pauri District, BJP’s Anil Baluni entered the electoral fray by filing his nomination for the Garhwal seat, with Senior BJP leader Smriti Irani and other BJP stalwarts rallying around him.

BJP’s Trivendra Singh Rawat, vying for the Haridwar parliamentary seat, filed his nomination, submitting four sets of documents to formalize his candidacy.

27th March 2024 is the last date for filing nominations.
