US Ambassador to India, Richard Verma has said that the United States is exploring ways to build better linkage with India, especially the North East Region. Mr Verma Yesterday attended the inaugural session of the Hornbill Festival in Nagaland.

Talking to media persons in Kohima last night, he described the festival as amazing and a wonderful sandwich of music and arts. The US Ambassador also appreciated the rich tribal cultural history and young population of the State.

Today, Mr Verma will be calling on Chief Minister TR Zeliang and also visit the World War-II cemetery to pay tribute. Mr Verma is accompanied by US Consulate General Kolkata and other officials.
