In the wake of the unfortunate fire incident in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday asked officials to conduct verification of the arrangements made in connection with fire safety in all government and private hospitals. He said, it should be ensured that fire safety equipments are available in hospitals and concerned operators are also available. He also issued instructions to complete all preparations regarding Covid 19 vaccination on time. In a high level review meeting, the Chief Minister said, all the arrangements for an effective cold chain, safe storage, and easy transportation for vaccination work should be made according to the guidelines issued by the Central Government.

He also instructed officials to regularly monitor the action being taken for the vaccination. It was informed in the meeting that during the first phase of vaccination drive, vaccination work will be done in 3,000 booths of 1,500 vaccination centers across the state. For this, 1,300 cold chains have been installed.

In view of the new strain of Corona virus, the chief minister stressed the need of stepping up vigil. He directed officials to ensure that people traveling from the UK and other countries where the new strain has shown up should be quarantined for a minimum of seven days and should also be thoroughly checked for the infection.
