Uttar Pradesh government has ordered an inquiry by a three-member committee into the Barabanki liquor case. The Committee headed by the Excise Commissioner will submit it’s report within 48 hours. Meanwhile, the toll in liquor tragedy has gone up to 15.
More than thirty victims of liquor consumption have been admitted at Trauma Centre Lucknow and ten persons have been admitted in the hospital at Barabanki.
“The superintendent of police Barabanki Ajay Kumar Sahani said that search is going on to nab the culprits. Three persons including salesman have been arrested but licence allottee is still absconding. Meanwhile, a three-member team headed by Excise Commissioner has been constituted for enquiry into the tragic incident that will submit it’s reports within 48 hours.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced financial assistance of rupees two lakh each to the family members of the diseased. Ten personnel of excise department including district excise officer have been suspended. concerned police Circle Officer, police Inspector, Sub Inspector and two constables have also been suspended.
