Uttar Pradesh governor Ram Naik today wrote a letter to the Chief Minister seeking his stand on the continuation of Transport Minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati in the cabinet after filing FIR against Mr Prajapati for his alleged involvement in a sexual harassment case.

In his letter Mr Naik has said that after issuance of non bailable warrant against the booked Minister by the court, his continuation in the Cabinet is against the constitutional ethics and norms of the democracy.

Referring media reports in the matter, Mr Naik has said that the Minister is facing serious charge of sexual exploitation of a women and her minor daughter and his passport has been suspended for four weeks by the government.

Police has conducted raids to arrest him. Meanwhile District Magistrate Amethi has suspended a Lekhpal who is a co accused in the case.
