Round the clock power supply will be ensured in four holy cities of Ayodhya, Mathura, Varanasi and Gorakhpur in order to facilitate scores of pilgrims.
Addressing the officers at the Collectorate in Mathura yesterday, State Power Minister Shrikant Sharma informed this. He said his department is committed to provide round the clock power supply in rest of the state by 2019.
Mr Sharma said that the officers of Power Department have been instructed to rectify existing faults within a fortnight and the old transformers would also be changed one.
The Minister directed the officers to start “e-tendering” system in a bid to curb corruption.
