Ukrainian and US delegations discussed key issues and next steps on settling the Russia-Ukraine conflict during fresh talks held in Florida yesterday. Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council Rustem Umerov said discussions focused on coordinating approaches for practical results. The Ukrainian side included David Arakhamia, Kyrylo Budanov and Sergiy Kyslytsya, while the US delegation featured envoy Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Josh Gruenbaum and Chris Curran.

Mr Umerov said outcomes of the first day were reported to President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said talks will continue today, focusing on assessing Russia’s readiness to end the conflict. Mr Witkoff described the meetings as constructive and aimed at resolving remaining issues toward a comprehensive peace agreement.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said Russia will not take part in the Florida talks. Previous rounds of trilateral talks between Ukraine, US and Russia were held in Abu Dhabi in January and February and in Geneva in February.
