Ukraine’s parliament amended the 2024 budget to allocate an additional about 11.96 billion U.S. dollars for defence, the country’s Finance Ministry has said.
Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a lawmaker from the Holos party, said, Ukraine’s expenditures for defence will reach about 90 billion U.S. dollars in 2024.
According to lawmaker Rolsolana Pidlasa, Ukraine will source additional funds for military needs from hiked taxes and additional placement of domestic government debt bonds, among other sources.
