According to reports Justices P Sathasivam and A K Patnaik conveyed their decision to Chief Justice of India, Justice S.H. Kapadia to recuse themselves. Chief Justice has constituted another bench with Justice G.S. Singhvi who will hold a special hearing on Monday along with Justice B.S.Chauhan to decide the bail applications of Kanimozhi and Kalaignar TV MD Sharad Kumar.
Meanwhile, in an affidavit filed before the apex court, the CBI has opposed the bail plea of Kanimozhi and Kumar on the ground that if released, they could tamper with evidence and influence witnesses.
