In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces have arrested two hybrid terrorists linked to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit from the Kupwara district. In a joint operation, the Kupwara Police and Army’s 28 Rashtriya Rifles also recovered four pistols, eight pistol magazines, 130 pistol rounds and 10 hand grenades from their possession during the arrest. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Lalpora Police Station and an investigation has been taken up to unearth the terror module involved in the case.
Meanwhile, one terrorist has been neutralized in an encounter that broke out at the Wanigam Bala area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district in the wee hours today.
The identity of the slain terrorist is being ascertained. The search operation in the area was going on till reports last came in.
