On criticism by global bodies over the violence in the national capital India’s External Affairs Ministry Spokesman Raveesh Kumar said that the situation in Delhi is fast returning to normal and law enforcement agencies are doing their best.

Asked about comments by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Delhi violence, Mr Kumar said, these were driven by his political agenda. He said, India does not expect such statements from a Head of State and has made a strong demarche with the Turkish Ambassador in Delhi on Tuesday.

Iran Supreme leader Condemns Delhi Violence

Meanwhile Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Thursday condemned the killing of the Indian Muslims and said that the New Delhi Government has the duty to stop the extremist Hindus and the political parties that support them.

The Supreme Leader tweeted, “The hearts of the Muslims all over the world are grieving over the massacre of Muslims in India.”

“The goverment of India should confront extremist Hindus & their parties & stop the massacre of Muslims in order to prevent India’s isolation from the world of Muslims.”
