Trump rebukes FBI for bungling tip on Florida school shooting

US President Donald Trump has rebuked the FBI for missing the tip-off about the shooting at a school in Florida that killed 17 people on Wednesday.

In a tweet, Mr Trump said, the agency is spending too much time trying to prove Russian collusion with the Trump campaign. Saying that there is no collusion, the US President asked FBI to get back to the basics and make the country proud.

The FBI had, earlier, admitted that it failed to act on a tip-off about the suspected shooter Nikolas Cruz, who confessed to the shooting.

Meanwhile, young survivors of the shooting took part in a rally in Florida demanding tighter gun controls.

They protested against the US lawmakers and Mr Trump at Fort Lauderdale, criticising them for receiving financial support from the National Rifle Association during his presidential campaign
