The nationwide indefinite strike of truckers has been called off. All India Motor Transport Congress, AIMTC took this decision after meeting with Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi this evening. The transporters were on strike against the present toll system claiming that the offer of electronic-toll system is not practical.
Talking to media Mr Gadkari said, the government has formed a committee to look into the demands of transporters. He said the committee will submit its report by December this year.
