The total lockdown in the Capital Kohima has been extended for another week starting from tomorrow. The seven day lockdown which was in force from July 25th ended today.
During an emergency meeting held today, District Task Force, DTF Kohima took the decision to extend the total lockdown in Kohima Municipal area due to the rapid increase in COVID-19 cases.
The DTF Kohima further advised public to follow all safety precautions by wearing mask, washing hands frequently and maintaining social distance. It further warned that anyone failing to comply with the order will invite strict penal action.
The High Powered Committee on COVID-19 in Nagaland led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in its meeting yesterday extended the lock down in the state and empowered the District Task Force on COVID-19 to take decisions on lockdown in the respective districts.
