AIADMK General Secretary V K Sasikala has sought an appointment with Governor Vidyasagar Rao to parade MLAs supporting her before him.
In a letter to the Governor, Sasikala recalled that she had met him on February 9 along with her senior ministers, consequent to her seeking an appointment with him to hand over the letter of party MLAs electing her as their leader.
Sasikala went to Golden Bay resort in Kuvathur where MLAs are stationed for some days. MLAs raised slogans in support of Sasikala.
Meanwhile, in a major development in the ongoing power wrangling in Tamil Nadu, Senior AIADMK leader C. Ponnaiyan has met pannerselvam and has extended support to him. Ponnaiyan is a former state Finance Minister.
In an exclusive chat with DD News correspondent C. Ponnaiyan said that over the past few days people have shown unprecedented support for Panneerselvam and that he was confident that Pannerselvam’s camp would win the vote of confidence.
Earlier in the day, serving education minister K Pandiarajan also joined the caretaker chief minister O Panneerselvam camp.
He is the first serving minister to switch sides in favour of Panneerselvam camp.
Meanwhile, AIADMK MP V Maithreyan on Saturday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister to safeguard Tamil Nadu from forces which can take law & order into their hands.
