The Trinamool Congress Chief, Mamta Banerjee said here on Monday that under the agreement her party will contest in 227 seats while Congress will put up candidates in 65 and SUCI in two seats.

The Trinamool Congress has left one more seat to the Congress instead of earlier announced 64 after hectic talks between the top leaders of both parties since last couple of days.

Ms. Banerjee also announced minor changes in her party’s candidates’ list. She also released election manifesto of her party which emphasised setting up of an employment bank, land bank and all round development of agriculture and industries in the State.

Talking to reporters in New Delhi on Monday after the settlement, Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed said that there is no question of compromise or sacrifice when a negotiated settlement has been reached.
