In a development, that has saved the national carrier, Air India’s subsidiary, Air India Express from a major embarassment, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has lifted the temporary ban of its flights to Dubai.
Air India said in a statement later today said flights to Dubai will resume as per normal schedule from tomorrow.
The airline confirmed that its flights to and from Dubai will resume from September 19 onwards as per the original schedule.
“All Air India Express flights from and to Dubai will operate as per original schedule w.e.f tomorrow,” Air India said.
The DCAA had also asked Air India Express to submit a detailed corrective action for resuming flights to Dubai.
The airline said it received a suspension notice from DCAA dated September 17.
This, the airline said was done on account of erroneous acceptance of one Covid19 positive passenger by the airline’s ground handling agents at Delhi and Jaipur.
