NEW DELHI: (AMN) Telugu Desam Party staged protest demonstrations in different part of Andhra Pradesh following arrest of their leader Chandrababu Naidu. Party has given a Bandh call on Monday. Dharna and Rasta Rooko are being held across the state. The left parties, CPI and CPM have also extended support to the strike. 

TDP chief  N Chandrababu Naidu, who is on a hunger strike demanding compensation for farmers, was forcibly taken into custody and shifted to hospital on early Morning after a long drama at the new MLA quarters in Hyderabad which saw police clashing with TDP workers leaving many  injured. Chandrababu is, however, continuing his hunger-strike for the fourth day in the hospital. 

A case under Section 309 of Indian Penal Code (attempt to commit suicide) has been registered against Naidu while a case under Section 353 IPC (preventing a public servant from discharging his duties) was registered against other TDP leaders.
