Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin today announced that all Government primary school students from First to Fifth standards will be provided nutritious breakfast on all working days. Coinciding with the one year of his government, he made five announcements in the state Assembly in Chennai. They include the launching of integrated urban health centres within the Corporation and Municipal limits, just like the Primary Health Centres in rural areas.
AIR correspondent reports that Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi and several political leaders wished Chief Minister MK Stalin the completion of one year of his Government. Earlier, making a series of announcements in the state Assembly, he said schools of excellence will be established across the state with modern facilities.
Periodic medical check-ups of school children and the follow-up treatment for those who need medical attention is another scheme that he announced. To meet the unmet basic needs of the public, he said in all the 234 constituencies, a new scheme called “CM in your constituency” will be rolled out, which will be implemented in coordination with the MLAs concerned. The principal opposition AIADMK did not participate in today’s Assembly proceedings.
