over the demands put by the Maoists for release of the abducted Malkangiri District Magistrate R Veenyl Krishna and another person.

Earlier the Government has accepted two names proposed by the Maoists for negotiation on the release the tow officersof abducted Malkangiri District Magistrate R Veenyl Krishna and another person. Professor Har Gopal and Professor R Sureshwar Rao, on behalf of the red-ultras, have been invited to Bhubaneswar by the Odisha Government for negotiation over the demands put by the Maoists for release of the duo. The Odisha Government is making all arrangements for arrival of the negotiator.

The 48-hour deadline given by the Maoists to free abducted Malkangiri district magistrate and collector came to an end this evening   The Andra-Odisha Border South Zonal Committee asked the government to immediately free three of their leaders, Sudarshan, Padma and Gantiprasad.Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik,and mediator from the Maoists Prof Har Gopal Friday appealed through the All India Radio not to do any harm to Krishna and Majhi. The Chief Minister also appealed the Maoists to give more time to the administration to consider all their demands. The Odisha Government has stopped all combing operation across the state since yesterday.

Meanwhile, Revolutionary writer and Maoists’ sympathizer from Andhra Pradesh Varavara Rao has once again appealed to them to release the abducted Malkangiri Collector and the other person. Stating that R. V. Krishna is known for striving for poor and tribals, he urged the Maoists to release them on humanitarian ground immediately.
